| While I had been informed before that tethering of their new seats was allowed while rear-facing, another source tells me that an engineer from Recaro says this is not yet officially recommended.... I appologize for any confusion in previous posts where I may have claimed the Recaro Como/Signo could be tethered RF!

| Not really.... As much as I like being able to tether RF, the Recaro's other benefits still outweight this IMO: deepest side wings + highest RF limits + highest FF limits + super comfy & aparently easy to use Britax & Sunshine Kids are the only seats that do encourage tethering RF, but with only 33# RF weight limit -- I'd rather be able to keep kiddo RF those 2 extra pounds in the Recaro untethered than have to turn FF RF tethering would only be considered necessary in vehicles with very low seatback cushions & very close rear window.Supposedly Recaro has not rulled out the idea of tethering RF at some point, though. They're supposedly working on getting that approved ![]()
