Default Graco Nautilus or Frontier for 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon?

Howdy -- I'm new.
My oldest son (3.25 years) is in a Britax Roundabout, but nearing it's limit (he weighs 38#).

I researched like crazy and chose the Radian 65. I really like how compact the seat is, but I can't get a snug install in either outboard position. So, I'm returning the Radian 65.

What next? Nautilus or Frontier or perhpas a Cosco/Safety1st Apex Elite 65?
The Regent is off the table because it would crowd the infant seat in the center position.

I don't mind purchasing headrests (my car doesn't have them in the rear seat), but the retrofit for a top tether is in a place that will be in the way constantly in the cargo area.

I did a seat check with a local tech and he suggested just going to a BPB, but I want to keep my fellows in 5-point harnesses.

So, here I am. I'm dizzy from weeks (on and off) of research and worn out from trying for 2 hours to get a snug install with the Radian.

Help!

Christine
P.S. I also need a spare seat to leave at daycare, etc.

LOVE the Nautilus. NICE tall harness slots, harnesses to 65lbs, taller harness slots than the Frontier and the Radian.
