| I have a little girl, 2 1/2 years old, 28 lbs and avg height. She is currently in a Britax Roundabout that is getting very worn (it was her older brothers too). Do you suggest a Recaro Young Sport or a Britax Regent. The Britax seems huge & heavy, is the Recaro also? It seems they are similar safety-wise, right? Are they still making the Young Sport? Thanks in advance for your help! |

| HERE is a very interesting thread which dissects the comparison between these 2 seats: make sure to read the whole way though.... However, I am obliged to state that kiddo would absolutely be safest rear-facing (please visit my website for detailed explanation)

| Ok. So it seems to me that the RYS would be good for my daughter, not because it is better than the Regent, but because she is smaller/avg size and will not grow out if the safest way to sit too early. I do agree that harnessing would be best for as long as it is possible. Someone also mentioned the SafeGuard Child Seat...any info on that? |

| The Safeguard Child Seat is the most comparable option to the Regent Slightly lower limits, but by then any child really should be able to use a booster properly (unless there are special development/health needs) -- it's more expensive, but they may just have the most extensive crash testing + I believe their designer worked with NASA before this! You would need to save towards a dedicated booster to use afterwards.... This seat also installs so nicely with automatic retracting LATCH straps ![]()

| Does anyone know the expiration date for the Recaro YS? I've been reading posts that are talking about 5 years. I need it to last 6-7 yrs. Are there any other seats that I should consider? Preferably higher harness limit, but also becomes BPB. I've been looking primarily at YS, good reviews about the seat and the company, as long as you buy it from an authorized dealer. Does anyone use the center position in a Honda Accord? It has seatbelt only, no LATCH ability. I'm sorry about all the questions, i'm just so tired of doing so much research and unable to make a decision. My nephew is 14 months, and my sister wants FF, no arguments. My nephew spends 3 hours/week in the car. We are currently using a Roundabout (gift) in my 2004 Honda Accord, but I want to move that to my sister's 2003 Accord, leather and buy a combo. HELP!! |

| That's too bad sis won't consider RF ![]() I don't have any experience fitting the RYSport in the the center of an Accord, but it should fit outboard & they truly have excellent side impact protection so I wouldn't worry about that -- just make sure the front seat is not reclined.... I don't remember exactly what my RYSport's expiration date was ![]() but I'm sure a customer service rep. would be able to answer that question ![]() Phone: 1/248/364 3818 Fax: 1/248/364 3806 Email: info.usa@recaro.com Internet: .: RECARO :.
