inside scoop with regent?

Where are all the Regents? I have noticed that many places are out of stock online and in retail stores that used to carry them no longer have them either. The places that do have them are dropping the prices and have limited stock. We have one for our oldest dd (5 years old, 48 inches tall, just hit 40 lbs and she is in the 2nd from the top harness slot). We have another dd (23 months, 36 inches tall, 25 lbs RF in Triumph). I don't want to buy one yet because I still want to keep the 2nd dd RF as long as possible. Is Britax discontinuing them...is there something new (and better with same harness height) on the horizon? I see the dimensions for the Advocate only go to 65 lbs with 16 inch harness height. Anybody have the inside scoop? The last time I saw a price drop, the Frontier came out. I also noticed that Britax pulled the install video from their website. It makes me think something is up.
Please let me know if possible because we may go ahead and buy one if they are only going to discontinue it. Also what are the dimensions for a Radian XT as far as harness height. I can't find this anywhere.

While the Radian 80 has a very high weight capacity, the seat width is only 10" vs. the Regent's 14" seat. The Britax Regent may be a bit wider, but it is very bulky, is only forward facing, and does not fold like the Radian 80. Because the Radian 80 is so narrow, you can potentially put three of them side by side in the back seat. Three Regents side by side? Impossible.

They are discontinuing the Regent and I am SO SAD about it! I really love this seat! The reason they have is b/c they released the Frontier and the demand for the Regent has gone down.

I know I've seen them at Albeebaby. The harness height on the Radian is about 18".

What you can find out there in stores and online for the Regent is probably the last you're going to see of them. They are only available in the Sahara fashion now and I believe Britax is completely out or will be very shortly. We here at EliteCarSeats just got the final order and once these are gone they are gone for good. I know I'm bummed, too. Loved the Regent.

I REALLY hope that Britax either remakes the Regent into a combo seat like the Frontier or increases the harness height on the Frontier! I probably need to get another one for my dh's truck (b/c my 3y/o is the size of a 5y/o and definitely not ready for a booster) before they are all gone!!!

The shoulder belt should go across the middle of the shoulder and chest. A booster seat is used for older children up to about 80 pounds.
