Default Recommendation for tall, lean child

I've been researching combination car seats for my daughter who just turned 4 and is 43" tall, 37lbs, and her torso measures 15.5" seated. I have had her in a Britax Roundabout which was great until I realized the other day that her shoulders were a good 1.5 inches over the top shoulder slot! I'd like to keep her in a 5-point harness but am having a hard time sorting through all the specs. Geez, you'd think car seats would be a bit more standardized! I have a Cosco high back booster as a second car seat, but it doesn't seem to have much padding. I'd like something a little more comfortable for everyday use. I don't mind springing for another Britax (as in a Regent) but I'd prefer something less expensive if it's solid. Any ideas?

While the Regent is the tallest, highest harnessing seat on the market, it will likely hold your child in the harness longer.

The new Graco Nautilus has top harness slots of 18-18.5" tall and will harness to 65lbs, then booster to 100lbs. These seats are only in WalMart and run about $150.

With her torso height that tall, I don't think I would even consider the Apex 65 as the top harness slot is only 17-17.5" tall.

Also---if she's too tall for the roundabout, check where her shoulders are in the Cosco seat. Cosco combo seats aren't known for the tall top slots.
