Default Help with Regent Installation

I need help. I just received my Regent and I am trying to install. I have visted the Britax website, viewed the video and talked to a CS rep but to no avail (a manager is supposed to call me back). My DD is 4 years old, 40 inches, 32 lbs. I want to install using long path LATCH. I am looking at the video which tells me to pass both of the latch connector to the front (after removing cover) through the respective belt path holes and then run one end under the comfort foam and then pass both connectors through the same hole then re-attach cover. Then I am supposed to make sure nothing is twisted ( I am still following okay through all of this part) but then pass the connectors back through their respective holes (doesn't this negate part of what I just did?????) and then over the outside cover of the carseat to connect? Something doesn't seem right....please help!!!!

Default Disregard

Please disregard my message. I figured it out by viewing the installation videos for the opposite installation (short path). From what I can ascertain, the video displays the conversion from short path to long path which is why I was confused as my car seat arrived without the LATCH belt routed for either path thus from their instructions I was basically routing it for short path and then undoing part of it.

I do have to say that once I figured it out, the installation was easier than for any other car seat that I have done. NIce job on the loops in the latch belt to use for traction to tighten it. I like how the latch connectors click!

However, thus far, I am NOT impressed by Britax's customer service. When I phoned yesterday, I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Then the customer service rep did not have volume on her computer and thus could not hear the installation video that we were playing simultaneously (which was leading to my confusion). I asked to speak to someone who was more knowledgeable and was transferred to a "team leader" however, the CS rep could not or did not know how to transfer. She ended up taking my number and promised a return phone call that day but it has been more than 24 hours and I have yet to receive a phone call. I just phoned again to follow-up on my concerns and I am told that she is aware of my message but has not had time to return my call (to their knowledge, I still need help with installation).

I am surprised as everyone else seems to rave about them.

Thanks

Glad you figured it out! I have never had any problems with Britax c/s. I HAVE sat on hold forever before, but sometimes, you can catch it JUST right.

I'm sorry, I wasn't on yesterday, or I would have help you out! i have 2 Regents myself and absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE them!!! Congrats on a great investment!
