Default Britax Frontier Combination available for pre-order

I've been waiting to post this until I had a firm date on delivery - I've been told early - mid May EliteCarSeats.com should be shipping the Britax Frontier out.

Colors from Left to Right: Canyon, Pink, Red, Rushmore
My favorite is Canyon - I'm SO boring!

Retail $279.99
5-point harness from 25 - 80 lbs!
Converts to BPB from 40 - 100 lbs. and 42 - 60"
SIP, LATCH, FAA Approved

Those of you considering the Regent should consider the Frontier if you can wait until May. I'm pretty confident on a May delivery.
Frontier is a bit smaller so may fit in many vehicles that the Regent doesn't. What exactly are some of the differences?
  • Frontier is 2" narrower than the Regent
  • Frontier is 8" shorter than the Regent
  • Frontier's interior seat back height is 6.25" shorter than the Regent (however headrest adjusts higher up to 27.5" - still 2.5" shorter than the Regent)
  • Frontier has same interior seat width as the Regent at 12"
  • Frontier's seat is 1.75" deeper than ttje Regent's seat
  • Regent's highest harness slot is .75" higher at 19.1" than the highest shoulder harness slot on the Frontier
  • Frontier's buckle depth goes from 5" to 8.25 vs. the Regent 7.4 to 9.4" so Regent provides more room between child and crotch buckle, but Frontier provides more secure fit for younger/smaller children closer to the minimum weight
  • Frontier has Britax's TSIP (True Side Impact Protection) - the Regent does NOT
  • Frontier has retractable cup holders
  • Fronteir has moveable armrests
