Default flying with carseat

It would be useful to note which seats are FAA-certified for air travel in the database. I am having an extremely hard time finding this information online.

I like this idea as well

FWIW, however, very few non-booster (only) seats aren't FAA approved

I'll work on getting something up on the site. We're deep in discussion on a redesign so now is the best time to try to incoporate with our new design and layout. In the meantime, EliteCarSeats.com does have this information on their compare charts - most car seats are on it:

Infant Car Seats

Converbible Car Seats

Youth/Toddler Seats

Booster Seats

Thanks for the input!!

Default FAA approved for flying

Most carseat lists include seats available in the US only, and are not so helpful for visotors from abroad. An FAA-approved option (for those who are willing to spend the money) is the the CARES harness:
CARES | Kids Fly Safe
It is MUCH less bulky than a carseat, and works well if you can arrange for carseats on both departure and arrival sides. You might want to add a section about flying with kids to the redesigned site.

Thanks for the feedback.
